Wie weiter nach der obligatorischen Schule? Bildungsentscheidungen und -verlaeufe der PISA-Kohorte 2012 in der Schweiz

Abstract

In diesem Paper werden die Bildungsverlaeufe nach der obligatorischen Schule jener Jugendlichen analysiert, die sich 2012 in der 9. Klasse befanden und am PISA-Test teilgenommen haben. Dank einer Kombination von PISA-Daten und administrativen Daten zu den Bildungsverlaeufen des Bundesamts fuer Statistik koennen wir den Zusammenhang zwischen kognitiven und nicht-kognitiven Kompetenzen und dem Erfolg der Schuelerinnen und Schueler beim uebertritt in eine zertifizierende nachobligatorische Ausbildung (Direkteinstieg) sowie der Stabilitaet des weiteren Bildungsverlaufs (kein Abbruch oder keine Repetition) untersuchen. Die Analysen zeigen auf der einen Seite, dass die Kompetenzen haeufig gute Praediktoren fuer den weiteren Bildungsverlauf sind. Auf der anderen Seite erweist sich, dass die Kompetenzen mit anderen soziodemografischen Charakteristiken korrelieren. Dies fuehrt dazu, dass beispielsweise in Bezug auf den Einfluss des Geschlechts oder des Migrationshintergrunds einer Schuelerin oder eines Schuelers auf den Bildungserfolg Fehlaussagen generiert wuerden, wenn man ueber keine Informationen ueber die individuellen Kompetenzen zum Zeitpunkt des Schulaustritts verfuegen wuerde.
