Migrant workers in an irregular situation and their regularisation in Venezuela

Abstract

Working paper on the legal status of migrant workers and regularization of irregular migrants in Venezuela - describes the General Register of foreigners, commenting on international agreements and subsequent modification of legislation; outlines data resulting from the General Register (number of foreigners by sex, nationality age group, educational level and occupation); discusses implications for employment, labour market, wage structure, future immigration and immigration policy. Bibliography, statistical tables.
