Abstract

"Women have expanded their position on the labour market, even during the crisis. By now, almost half of the employees in Germany are women. However these findings only partly reflect women's participation in working life. In order to achieve a more differentiated picture of their participation in labour, the differing working hours of women and men have to be taken into account. Results relating to the preferred working hours of employees indicate a remarkable working time potential, especially of women working part-time." (Author's abstract, IAB-Doku) ((en))
