Abstract

Cet article présente différentes évaluations des effets de la réduction du temps de travail sur l'emploi réalisées par la Dares dans le cadre du suivi des lois Robien et Aubry. Certaines utilisent les outils méthodologiques développés récemment pour l'évaluation des politiques publiques. Elles permettent d'évaluer un effet net direct de l'ordre de 6 à 7 % pour les entreprises ayant bénéficié des aides incitatives et de 3 % pour les autres. Au-delà de l'effet de sélection, ces différences de créations d'emplois s'expliquent par l'hétérogénéité des modalités de mise en œuvre de la réduction du temps de travail. Au niveau macroéconomique, les différents dispositifs de réduction du temps de travail auraient eu un effet important sur l'emploi.
