Abstract

The reduction of military expenditure, often defined as a reduction in military expenditure, has often been analyzed by economists, using more or less sophisticated models to analyze its effects. However, these analyses remain very hypothetical in their development and conclusions. War is not a simple economicquestion, it is inscribed in the relationships of power or religious or ideological convictions. For an economy of peace to emerge, many other elements than the simple reduction of military expenditure are necessary, because the feeling of national security and the violence of the market economy between the different political and economic actors of the international economic system have not yet found viable solutions in the short term.
