Deforestación en México: Un análisis preliminar

Abstract

El presente documento presenta una revisión de la literatura sobre las causas de la deforestación tanto a nivel internacional como para el caso específico de México. El objetivo principal es contribuir al mejor entendimiento de la dinámica de cambio en el uso de suelo así como de las fuentes y causas de la deforestación en México. Se presenta un análisis econométrico preliminar que permite identificar patrones de deforestación a nivel nacional. La revisión de la literatura y el análisis econométrico sirven de base para identificar los vacíos de información existentes.
