La situación relativa de los hogares retirados y otros inactivos desde 1973-74 a 1980-81

Abstract

En Ruiz-Castillo (1994) se presentó un marco de análisis para comparar el bienestar social de muestras independientes con información sobre la renta o el gasto y otras características del hogar. En Ruiz-Castillo (1994b, 1994c) se aplicó este enfoque a los datos españoles de 1973-74 y 1980-81 para el conjunto nacional, la partición por tamaño del hogar y otras particiones de indole geográfica y socioeconómica. En este trabajo se analizan los hogares cuyo sustentador principal es inactivo y, dentro de ellos, los retirados, que deben incluir una parte importante de las personas mayores. En particular se investiga si 1)¿están peor en promedio los retirados? 2)¿exhiben más desigualdad? 3)¿durante este período, han experimentado mayor o menor mejora en media, desigualdad y bienestar en términos reales que otros subgrupos de la población?
