Abstract

This policy brief takes a proactive approach, drawing on the current circumstances of business administration graduates to formulate concrete, feasible and prioritised recommendations for public policymakers at various levels of government. Methodologically, this document is based on a review of academic and comparative evidence, an analysis of current regulatory frameworks, and the systematisation of information and experiences of business administration graduates from the National University of Colombia (UNAL). The recommendations contained in this document are primarily directed at the Ministry of National Education (MEN), the Ministry of Science,Technology and Innovation (Minciencias), and higher education institutions (HEIs) offering business administration programmes. Among the key recommendations is the need to broaden the vision of Business administration towards sustainability, regional internationalisation (particularly in Latin America), inclusion and the generation of social value, and to reconfigure the profession as a tool for transformation that goes beyond individual or financial gain.
