Financiación Y Demanda De Educación Superior Estudio Del Caso En Colombia (1990-2005)

Abstract

Esta investigación tiene como objetivo identificar la relación existente entre la demanda por educación superior y variables relacionadas a su financiación. En particular, se analiza como la financiación pública y privada, y además las senales del mercado laboral explican las matrículas en educación superior en tres regiones de Colombia: Bogotá, Cali y Medellín. El estudio se realiza a través de un modelo Datos de Panel y el período de estudio abarca el comprendido entre 1990 y el 2005. Los resultados encontrados indican que incrementos de la tasa de interés promedio de los créditos educativos afectan de forma negativa la demanda de la matrícula universitaria en educación superior en las ciudades de análisis y los ingresos de las personas con formación profesional influyen positivamente.
