Bucaramanga: capital humano y crecimiento económico

Abstract

Bucaramanga, la capital del departamento de Santander, no solo es una ciudad con los mejores indicadores sociales de Colombia, sino que su economía viene creciendo a tasas superiores a las de las principales ciudades del país. Este artículo analiza el papel del capital humano y su relación con el crecimiento económico y bienestar social en esta ciudad. Se encontró que Bucaramanga posee un capital humano altamente capacitado y sus sectores públicos y privados están aliados en la búsqueda de conocimiento, para lo cual la academia, las empresas y el Estado articulan planes y proyectos de investigación en la búsqueda de mejorar la productividad y competitividad.
