Abstract

El volumen recorre temas vinculados con la educación básica: situación de la matrícula- desde una perspectiva histórica-, de los aprendizajes, de los docentes y directores, de las finanzas y de las políticas adoptadas durante las últimas décadas. Un asunto que atraviesa estos temas – y que, además, se trata en un capítulo aparte- es la inequidad prevalente en la educación peruana, en cuanto a oportunidades y resultados. Este es un tema central para el proyecto FORGE, que se relaciona con el derecho de cada estudiante a una educación de calidad, de acuerdo con la Ley General de Educación del 2003 y las convenciones de la organización de las Naciones Unidad a las que el Perú se ha adherido.
