Los autores aquí reunidos abordan temas tan diversos como los factores asociados al rendimiento estudiantil identificados en las últimas evaluaciones nacionales (Liliana Miranda); los determinantes de la decisión de abandonar la escuela secundaria en el ámbito rural (Lorena Alcázar); la calidad y pertinencia de la oferta de educación superior (Juan José Díaz); la calidad de la formación docente en las instituciones de educación superior en el país (Patricia Ames y Francesca Uccelli); las dificultades de inclusión que enfrentan las mujeres que estudian en las especialidades de Ingeniería de la PUCP (Alizon Rodríguez); la experiencia de acceso de los jóvenes indígenas a la UNMSM (Eduardo Ruíz); los obstáculos de las UGEL para asumir una adecuada gestión en sus jurisdicciones (Néstor Valdivia y Hugo Díaz); el grado de concreción que las políticas descentralizadoras han alcanzado en la gestión escolar (Gisele Cuglievan y Vanessa Rojas); la interacción de los niños en la escuela y, específicamente, la violencia como una de las formas de relación más recurrentes (Jaris Mujica); y la efectividad de dos estrategias de intervención escolar, así como las lecciones que de ellas se derivan (Patricia Ames).
