Abstract

Es ist ein altbewährtes Mittel der Familienplanung, den Menstruationszyklus durch Markierungen im Tagebuch oder im Kalender im Auge zu behalten. Diesen Prozess haben Apps übernommen: Angaben zu Stimmung, Eisprung oder Libido werden heute digital gespeichert. Die Nutzung digitaler Dienste verändert unser Verständnis von Intimität, die Grenzen der Privatsphäre verschieben sich. Doch was genau mit ihren Daten passiert, ist für die meisten App-Nutzenden nicht transparent. Es wachsen die Bedenken, dass Unternehmen – und Staaten – missbräuchlich mit sensiblen Daten umgehen können.
