Sex, Politik und Familie: Sinn und Unsinn abstinenzbasierter Sexualerziehung

Abstract

In den USA wird um die richtige Sexualerziehung gerungen, um Schwangerschaften von Teenagern zu verhindern. Erziehung zur Enthaltsamkeit steht einer umfassenden Sexualerziehung gegenüber. Welchen Einfluss aber hat die unterschiedliche Ausgestaltung des Sexualkundeunterrichts auf die Familienverläufe junger Menschen? Ein wichtiger Befund, der gegen die Anleitung zur Abstinenz spricht: Reproduktive Autonomie wird durch Aufklärung über Verhütung gefördert.
