Die Lage am Stahlmarkt: Deutsche Stahlindustrie weiterhin gut ausgelastet - weltweite Überkapazitäten drücken Preise

Abstract

Die globale Erzeugung von Rohstahl war im ersten Halbjahr 2015 rückläufig. Hauptursache ist die abnehmende Produktion in China aufgrund des dort schwächeren Wirtschaftswachstums und der Umstrukturierung der Wirtschaft zu Gunsten von Konsumgütern und Dienstleistungen. Zwar dürfte sich die internationale Konjunktur beleben. Gleichwohl dürfte die globale Rohstahlerzeugung im Jahr 2015 erstmals seit der Rezession 2008/09 sinken und im kommenden Jahr nur leicht steigen. Damit wird die Auslastung der Kapazitäten gering bleiben. Im Unterschied dazu bewegt sind die Kapazitäten in Deutschland gut ausgelastet und die Produktion liegt seit vier Jahren unter kleineren Schwankungen auf stabilem Niveau. Allerdings wird der gegenwärtige Aufschwung der deutschen Wirtschaft wesentlich vom privaten Konsum getragen und ist deshalb wenig stahlintensiv. Daher zeichnet sich nach einem Minus von 0,6% in diesem Jahr für 2016 nur eine leichte Zunahme der Rohstahlproduktion um 2,1% ab. Ein großes Problem bleiben die beträchtlichen weltweiten Überkapazitäten, die einen Druck auf die Preise für Stahl nach sich ziehen dürften.
