Konjunkturflaute und Unsicherheit prägen weiter den österreichischen Arbeitsmarkt

Abstract

Österreich erlebte 2025 nach zwei Rezessionsjahren einen leichten Aufschwung. Preisbereinigt expandierte das BIP um 0,6%. Unterjährig wechselten sich Phasen des Wachstums und der Stagnation ab. Die Export- und Industriekonjunktur gewann an Dynamik, während sich die Talfahrt der Bauwirtschaft im Vorjahresvergleich verlangsamte. Die Inflation blieb mit 3,6% hoch und dämpfte die Realeinkommen der privaten Haushalte. Die Nachwirkungen der Rezession hielten das Beschäftigungswachstum wie schon 2024 bei lediglich 0,2%. Der Arbeitslosigkeitsanstieg bremste sich in der zweiten Jahreshälfte 2025 zwar etwas ein, im Jahresdurchschnitt erhöhte sich die Arbeitslosenquote jedoch abermals. Die Zahl der offenen Stellen schrumpfte weiter. Im Frühjahr 2026 wuchs die Beschäftigung wieder rascher als im Vorjahr. Zwar hat sich der Anstieg der Arbeitslosigkeit zuletzt verlangsamt, die mit dem Iran-Krieg verbundene Unsicherheit gefährdet jedoch die nachhaltige Stabilisierung des Arbeitsmarktes.
