L’IDH, la stabilité politique et l’absence de violence- terrorisme comme facteurs explicatifs de l’attractivité touristique : le cas du bassin méditerranéen

Abstract

Le présent article montre, à travers un modèle estimé pour un panel de sept pays du bassin méditerranéen, que le nombre d’arrivées de touristes peut être expliqué par l’indice de développement humain (avec ses trois dimensions : santé, éducation et niveau de vie) et l’indice de stabilité politique et d’absence de violence/terrorisme. La sûreté et la sécurité, la santé et l’hygiène, l’éducation, la formation et la disponibilité de travailleurs qualifiés et le niveau de vie apparaissent ainsi de manière générale comme de forts attri-buts pouvant expliquer l’attractivité touristique des destinations.
