Abstract

In the research project, the emphasis will be on finding out the specifics of the school orientation of students with disabilities. In a work by A. Gherghuţ, he surprises that "the purpose of school orientation is to capitalize on the human potential, existing in any person, beyond a lack, insufficiency or inability to harmonize with oneself and integrate into society." (A. Gherghuţ, 2013, p.363). The motivation of this paper is both a curiosity to find out how the child with disabilities is properly guided to knowledge, education, but also the way in which specialists or his family get involved to make the right choices, adapted to the child's needs. Another important aspect is the increase of the chances of integration of children with disabilities in a society that is in a permanent change, the orientation being a decisive step in the evolution and balanced development of children with special needs.
