The relationship between motivation and professional satisfaction among teachers

Teaching staff motivation is a major component of educational management, being also the basis of global structure of it, which lies in correlating the satisfaction needs with the achievement of personal and professional objectives and tasks assigned. Job satisfaction is the state of balance that the individual reaches when he fully responds to needs, or expectations. Job satisfaction is a positive emotional state that results from the employee's feelings about his work or work climate. From a psychosociological point of view, Job satisfaction is the result of the difference between what the individual gets as a reward for work and what he estimates he should get. When there is equality between the two kind of rewards, a state of full satisfaction results. Our research aims to answer a concrete problem, the identification of the factors that determine the level of job satisfaction of teaching staff through professional motivation. We strongly believe that the chosen topic is a very actual one, in order to identify the sources of motivation in the teaching profession and the degree of satisfaction given by specific sources.
