Abstract

The present research is based on the correlational study between personality dimensions and prosocial behavior, having as a starting point the impact that the current socio-economic situation has on people's behavior. Starting from the examples of human solidarity, helping others, altruism presented throughout history and in the media, it is useful to identify what personality factors and to what extent influence prosocial behavior while outlining a "psychological profile of the individual prosocial". Following the analysis of the relationship between personality factors and prosocial behavior, as a general objective of this paper, the conclusion of the study is that a prosocial person should be characterized by the following traits: openness to interaction with others, well-established confidence, balance, self-confidence , respect for norms, social, civic and moral obligations, the ability to live with others, flexibility, generosity, altruism, sensitivity to the needs of others, the ability to transpose oneself instead of another person, to understand the way he thinks , feels and behaves another person, high level of self-esteem, tolerance.
