Psychophysiological requests to military divers

Abstract

The compatibility of the activity of Romanian divers with NATO standards has brought with it profound changes both in the types of missions assigned to these troops and in the quality of their training and also in the effects of these missions psychologically. These elite Navy specialists may face accumulated problems of physical and mental fatigue, with special responsibilities and risks and which may take the form of a specific type of stress. Knowing these demands, the personality factors that prevent or reduce the vulnerability to stress is a very current scientific and practical issue. The present study describes the personality factors that ensure the mental stability of divers during missions.
