Planning issues in foundation support for school based management committe (SBMC) in Nigerian basic Education: Planner's perspective

Abstract

The desperate urge in meeting the EFA goals and the MD Goals paved way for the recent reform in Nigeria Education Sector. It entails the decentralizations of aspects of decision making to the school level ant it involves the management of human, financial and other resources by the community members through committee. This paper therefore examines some fundamental planning issues with respect to policy guideline of this initiative in ensuring a strong foundation support for School Based Management Committee sustain ability in Nigeria basic education.
