Abstract

Purpose: The article aims to propose a nominal definition of quantum management and analyze the differences between the classical and quantum paradigms of management, with particular emphasis on their impact on organizational structure and decision-making processes. Methodology: The article is based on a synthetic literature review concerning the application of quantum theory in management sciences, including publications from bibliometric databases such as Scopus, Web of Science, and Elsevier. The review focuses on the theoretical and practical differences between the classical and quantum approaches to management. Additionally, a comparative method is used to identify key differences between these two paradigms and present arguments justifying the application of quantum principles in management sciences. Results: As a result of the analysis, a nominal definition of quantum management is proposed, based on the principles of unpredictability, probabilism, and unconventional thinking. Differences in decision-making, change management, and innovation between classical and quantum approaches to management are also identified. Potential directions for the application of quantum theory in management sciences are highlighted, particularly in the area of organizational adaptability. Research Limitations: The study focuses on selected aspects of the application of quantum mechanics in management sciences, while also indicating the need for further empirical research to verify the practical applicability of the quantum management concept in various organizational contexts. Originality: The article presents an innovative approach to management sciences, integrating elements of quantum mechanics with the practice of management and organizational leadership. In practice, it opens an important discussion on the future of organizations in the quantum era, characterized by unpredictability, complexity, and constant change. The proposed approach thus serves as a starting point for further research into the adaptation of quantum principles to management theory and practice.
