Мясницкая, 20.Вопрос о влиянии на социальную структуру индивидуальных характеристик составляющих эту структуру людей является одним из ключевых в социальных исследованиях. Авторы анализируют эволюцию социальных связей студентов 1‑го курса одного из российских университетов с целью определить, каким образом в процесс формирования социальной интеграции студентов вовлечено обобщенное доверие. Показано, что люди, которые доверяют окружающим, в большей степени склонны вступать в отношения с теми, с кем у них нет общих друзей, и расширять свои сети взаимодействий. Эмпирические результаты согласуются с теоретическими представлениями социологов, в частности Д. Колмана и Э. Усланера, о том, что доверие на индивидуальном уровне оказывает влияние на всю социальную структуру и, соответственно, на функционирование сообщества.
