The Case For A Less-Regulated Labour Market

Abstract

We review the development of the labour market and industrial relations in Australia, including the relationship between wage determination and protection of industry. We argue the case for much greater deregulation of the Australian labour market and a much reduced rôle for the Arbitration Commission.
