Abstract

Formation of human capital for sustainable development of rural areas of Stavropol Territory is a strategic task. The article examines a number of demographic indicators that characterize the state of human capital (population, fertility, mortality, age and sex structure, migration, natural movement of the population). Statistical data, dialectical, abstract-logical, calculated-constructive and comparative methods were used to assess demographic factors. Stable reduction and structural changes in the population of rural areas of Stavropol Territory need further study and search for strategic and tactical tools aimed at human capital formation.
