Abstract

The era of artificial scientific intelligence is here. As algorithms generate discoveries at scale, what role remains for human scientists? Can AI become a true scientist? This Perspective explores how new technologies are reshaping scientific discovery, and why human expertise remains essential as we enter a new era of research powered by intelligent algorithms.
