The Profile of the Maritime LeaderAbstract:Regardless the current economic situation and the difficult work conditions offshore, a challenge for maritime leaders in the twenty-first century is not just to attract and retain the best seafarers and onshore employees but especially to motivate them to work with passion, energy and enthusiasm. Although there are very few people with intelligence, skill, charisma and initiative, continuing challenges of the real world is to help the less talented to overcome their limitations
