Abstract

A tanulmány, a Művelődési Minisztérium makroszintű oktatási statisztikáinak cigány és nem cigány gyerekekre vonatkozó adataira támaszkodva, követi nyomon a cigány gyerekek iskolai pályafutásának alakulását több mint két évtizeden keresztül (19701993). Megvizsgálja, hogy a hetvenes évek elejétől napjainkig változtak e a cigány gyerekek továbbtanulási esélyei az iskolarendszer valamennyi állomásán. A tanulmány nagy súlyt fektet a cigány és nem cigány gyerekek továbbtanulási, illetve lemorzsolódási esélyeinek összehasonlítására, valamint arra, hogy iskolai történetüket a magyarországi munkaerőpiac állapotváltozásainak történetébe ágyazva, a tudás értékének változásait is mérő kontextusban értékelhessük.
