Impact de la dégradation de la conjoncture économique sur l’accroissement des taux de défaut des clients de la banque

Abstract

Cet article se propose d’analyser la relation entre l’évolution des facteurs de risque macroéconomiques et la défaillance des emprunteurs. Pour cela, on a procédé à la modélisation des distributions des taux de défaut d’un portefeuille de crédit d’une banque marocaine en s’inspirant de certaines études qui ont été réalisées aux États-Unis et au Canada.Ce travail consiste à mesurer et expliquer l’impact des évolutions défavorables de la conjoncture économique sur la dégradation de la qualité du portefeuille de crédit, et s’inscrit de ce fait dans le cadre d’une démarche exploratoire puisqu’il ne valide pas une étude préalable. En effet, la majorité des études réalisées jusqu’à date portent essentiellement sur la modélisation du risque systématique des portefeuilles de crédits aux particuliers et non pas des portefeuilles hybrides comportant toute la clientèle de la banque.
