Abstract

Socio-economic changes have led to a transformation of values among young people: the attitude toward higher education, which gave social status and, consequently, employment privileges, has become a thing of the past. At the same time, the changes to the system of professional education that are taking place in Russia may in the near future seriously affect the behavior of young people, especially young men – their focus on enrolling in full-time higher education will increase.
