Abstract

Using data from Chinese prefecture-level cities from 2009 to 2023 as research samples, this paper conducts an in-depth analysis of the interrelationships among new media supervision, digital finance, and the effectiveness of cultural dissemination. The study finds that: (1) There is a significant positive correlation between new media supervision and the effectiveness of cultural dissemination; (2) The promoting effect of new media supervision on cultural dissemination effectiveness exhibits heterogeneity between regions with high and low levels of tourism development; (3) Digital finance serves as a mediating variable in the relationship between new media supervision and the effectiveness of cultural dissemination; (4) The mediating effect of digital finance in the relationship between new media supervision and cultural dissemination effectiveness demonstrates heterogeneity between regions with high and low levels of digital infrastructure.
