Abstract

Sodium carbonate (soda ash) is a crucial chemical in the production of glass, detergents, metallurgy, and various household products. Traditionally, the Solvay process used for its production is highly energy-intensive and emits significant amounts of CO₂. However, this study introduces a groundbreaking modification to the Solvay process that significantly reduces CO₂ emissions.
