Gefahr im Verzug: Was die deutsche Bevölkerung über Russlands militärische Aggression und deutsche Sicherheitspolitik denkt

Abstract

Der vorliegende Beitrag präsentiert Ergebnisse einer repräsentativen Umfrage zu verteidigungspolitischen Themen in der deutschen Bevölkerung, die im Sommer 2025 durchgeführt wurde. Eine deutliche Mehrheit zeigt sich besorgt über die Möglichkeit eines militärischen Konflikts mit Russland und fordert eine stärkere Wehrhaftigkeit Deutschlands gegenüber äußeren Bedrohungen. Viele Befragte sprechen sich für einen personellen Ausbau der Bundeswehr und ein entschiedeneres Vorgehen gegen hybride Angriffe aus. Ebenfalls unterstützt eine Mehrheit die Idee einer gemeinsamen europäischen Armee; eine relative Mehrheit befürwortet die Wiedereinführung der Wehrpflicht. Zur Finanzierung zusätzlicher Verteidigungsausgaben präferieren die Befragten die Umschichtung bestehender Staatsausgaben. Insgesamt spiegeln die Ergebnisse einen klaren Reformwillen der deutschen Bevölkerung wider.
