Umsatzunsicherheit und Umsatzerwartungen deutscher Firmen zur Zeit des Ukraine-Kriegs: Gas und Gasausfall spielen eine eher geringe Rolle

Abstract

Die Auswirkungen des Kriegs in der Ukraine auf die deutsche Wirtschaft sind bereits spürbar. Welche Erwartungen haben die deutschen Firmen bezüglich ihrer Umsätze, und mit welchen Unsicherheiten sind diese Erwartungen verbunden? Die Konjunkturumfrage des ifo Instituts vom April 2022, die auch Sonderfragen bezüglich der Ukrainekrise enthält, gibt darüber Auskunft. Die Unsicherheitsdynamik der deutschen Unternehmen während und aufgrund des Kriegs folgt zwar bekannten Mustern und empirischen Regularitäten. Insgesamt trübt jedoch der Krieg die Unternehmenserwartungen zumindest bezüglich ihres kurzfristigen nominalen Umsatzwachstums im zweiten Quartal 2022 kaum ein und führt zu keiner Unsicherheitskrise, wie es etwa zu Beginn der Corona-Pandemie der Fall war. Diese Befunde sind unabhängig von der Gasabhängigkeit der jeweiligen Unternehmen.
