Ifo Agricultural Report: Pig farming

Author

Listed:
  • Manfred Schöpe

Abstract

With its pilot project on pig farming, the Ifo Institute has begun to provide regular reports and documentation of the situation and planned or pending changes in animal husbandry. Alongside the cyclical aspects, the reports also address development strategies and intended investments. A special emphasis is on adjustments in organisation and production technology that are currently being carried out for environmental and animal protection reasons as well as for reasons of quality protection and production transparency in agricultural enterprises.
