Abstract

The aim of this article is to study the dynamic of urban segregation and its inscription on Bordeaux metropolitan area. This study underlines the fundamental role of neighbourhood effects and metropolisation processes to form a cumulative dynamic of urban segregation. We then build a classification of districts thanks to standard factorial ecology methods in order to study the spatial inscription of neighbourhood effects. The districts trajectories between 1990 and 1999 show that neighbourhood effects interact with territorial recombining produced by metropolisation processes.
