Abstract

The rapid advance of technology and the growing demand for enhanced contextual information are reshaping the IT architecture requirements within airports. As airports evolve into smart hubs, the need to integrate geospatial data, real-time analytics and seamless communication systems is becoming increasingly vital. This paper explores the key considerations for preparing IT infrastructure to support this demand. From the integration of data sources to the use of artificial intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT), the paper examines how airports can remain competitive while ensuring smooth passenger experiences, efficient operations and improved security.1 This article is also included in The Business & Management Collection which can be accessed at https://hstalks.com/business/.
