Abstract

Water monitoring is increasingly a significant component of planning and compliance efforts at airports; however, there is limited guidance available regarding the collection, interpretation and application of monitoring data specific to the airport environment. The authors introduce a guidebook and tools recently published by the Airport Cooperative Research Program (ACRP). The guidance materials are designed to consolidate known information about water monitoring at airports to clarify the process of obtaining, interpreting and using water monitoring data to support airport decision-making. The guidebook and tools provide information for airport staff to use in improving their water monitoring programmes and plans. The guidebook and tools will be available on the ACRP website at: www.trb.org/ACRP/ACRP.aspx (accessed 28th June, 2017).
