La oferta de maquinaria agrícola en la segunda y tercera onda del cambio tecnológico en la agricultura en España, 1850-2000

Abstract

Este artículo analiza la oferta de maquinaria agrícola en la segunda y tercera onda del cambio tecnológico en la agricultura en España, 1850-2000. Realizamos una síntesis en el largo plazo de la relación de las empresas con las principales multinacionales del sector, los cambios institucionales y la demanda. Tenemos en cuenta la gran maquinaria agrícola (locomóviles, tractores y cosechadoras) como la pequeña maquinaria mecanizada y de tiro animal (arados, sembradoras, cultivadores etc.) dirigida hacia agriculturas de cereal como ganaderas, de elevada o reducida parcelación, y de trabajo familiar o asalariado. Combinamos una extensa revisión bibliográfica con trabajo de archivo público y privado, de hemeroteca y trabajo de campo. Identificamos diferentes periodos en largo plazo, pero sobre todo la forma en como las grandes multinacionales a nivel internacional, y los pequeños distribuidores a nivel regional-local, logran controlar el mercado y condicionar la demanda hacia finales del siglo xx.
