Abstract

[EN]An overview of Spanish wine protected designations of origin is provided, based on the theoretical framework of the worlds of production. A quantitative methodology is used, based on the construction and checking of technology, market and competition indicators. As a result, a classification of Spanish wine protected designations of origin in the worlds of production is provided, recent displace-ments between worlds of production have been identified and a characterization of the Spanish autonomous communities has been made according to their designations.
