Der Ansatz der logistischen Regression und seine Interpretation

Abstract

Bei der Analyse betriebswirtschaftlicher Probleme stößt man häufig auf dichotome Fragestellungen, bei denen herkömmliche statistische Untersuchungsverfahren nicht angewendet werden können. Statt der sonst üblichen Zwei-Gruppen-Diskriminanzanalyse wird in jüngster Zeit zunehmend die Logistische Regression eingesetzt, die im vorliegenden Beitrag anhand einer empirischen Applikation vorgestellt wird. Neben der Darstellung des Modells der Logistischen Regression wird gezeigt, wie die Koeffizienten einzelner Variablen auf Signifikanz geprüft und inhaltlich interpretiert werden können. Aufgrund der geringen Anforderungen an das zu analysierende Datenmaterial, der asymptotischen Test-Statistiken und der Robustheit der Logistischen Regression bietet dieses Verfahren gegenüber herkömmlichen Methoden zwar nennenswerte Vorzüge, sollte aber stets auf seine inhaltliche Anwendbarkeit überprüft werden.
