Abstract

Die aktuelle Lage in Bezug auf den Klimawandel erfordert ein entschlossenes Handeln auf der Ebene der politischen, wirtschaftlichen und persönlichen Entscheidungen. Medienbeiträge oder öffentliche Diskussionen transportieren Informationen und Meinungsbilder, die bisher weniger das Entscheidungsverhalten beeinflussen konnten als es die Klimaforschung für erforderlich hält. 1 In der Literatur der Verhaltenspsychologie wurden unterschiedliche Ansätze diskutiert, die Umweltverhalten erklären können. Dabei nehmen Normen eine wesentliche Rolle im Entscheidungsverhalten ein. 2 Der vorliegende Beitrag untersucht die Beeinflussung der Salienz ökologischer Norm als Äquivalent eines verpflichtenden Gefühls in Anlehnung an das Normaktivationsmodell (NAM) nach Schwartz (1977) und erfasst in diesem Zusammenhang das selbstberichtete Investitionsverhalten für klimaschutzfördernde Entwicklungsprojekte unter N = 319 Probandinnen und Probanden. Basierend auf der Durchführung eines digitalen Experimentes mit kontrollierter Randomisierung der zwei Versuchsgruppen konnten die Effekte auf die latenten Variablen wahrgenommene Verantwortung (AR), Salienz ökologischer Norm (SON) und ökologisches Verhalten (OV) dargestellt werden. 3 4 Die Überprüfung der Effekte erfolgte durch die Anwendung von t-Tests. Die im Rahmen dieser Studie erzielten Ergebnisse konnten die aufgestellten Hypothesen nicht bestätigen, die den Einfluss einer vorangestellten Information auf die zu untersuchenden Variablen vermuteten und deuten damit auch auf inkongruentes Verhalten zu umweltbezogenen Selbstaussagen hin. 5 Mögliche Gründe werden zum Ende der Arbeit diskutiert. Die erfassten Daten bieten weiteren Forschungsfragen Raum, die Investitionsbereitschaft in CO2-Kompensationsprodukte zu untersuchen.
