Teilstudie 17: Wachstums- und Beschäftigungschancen im Tourismus

Abstract

Wachstums- und Beschäftigungschancen liegen im Tourismus insbesondere im Kultur- und Städtetourismus, im Wintersport sowie im Bereich der erlebnisorientierten Kurzurlaube mit Wellnesskomponenten. Um Österreichs Standortvorteile zu festigen, sollten im Vordergrund einer Wachstumsstrategie Ganzjahresangebote, Qualitätssteigerung und Innovationsorientierung stehen. Eine Forcierung der diagonalen Integration (z. B. in Richtung "Creative Industries" oder anderer wissensbasierter Dienstleistungen) und die Diversifikation der Produktion würden weiters die Wertschöpfungskette verlängern und Anreize zur Erhöhung der Aufenthaltsdauer schaffen. Durch eine entsprechende elektronische Aufbereitung des Angebotes würden Angebotselemente individuell kombinierbar und der Vertrieb optimiert.
