Wpływ czynników cenowych i niecenowych na konsumpcję tytoniu – analiza danych panelowych

Abstract

Rola czynników cenowych i niecenowych w kształtowaniu konsumpcji tytoniu na poziomie zagregowanym została przeanalizowana w ramach modelu panelowego. Wyniki estymacji wykazały, że niektóre czynniki społeczno-ekonomiczne, a także czynniki nieobserwowalne, miały istotny wpływ na rozpowszechnienie konsumpcji tytoniu w 24 krajach OECD objętych próbą. Czynniki niecenowe nie były istotnymi determinantami średniego spożycia tytoniu per capita. Analiza zmiennych interakcyjnych wskazała, że wpływ czynników nieobserwowalnych na rozpowszechnienie konsumpcji tytoniu może być nasilony przez strukturę wieku populacji i poziom aktywności gospodarczej. Realna cena wyrobów tytoniowych była istotnym czynnikiem wpływającym na średnie spożycie tytoniu per capita, ale nie wpływała znacząco na rozpowszechnienie konsumpcji tytoniu.
