Abstract

A tőkepiacok globális liberalizációja az 1980-as évektől kezdődően jelentősen leszűkítette a gazdaságpolitika mozgásterét az önálló valutájú kis, nyitott országokban. A cikk Svédország esetét vizsgálja meg, amely a magas állami újraelosztási szint ellenére sikeresen alkalmazkodott az új kihívásokhoz a gazdaságpolitikai fegyelem intézményesítése révén. A monetáris és fiskális politika szabályalapú megközelítése az integrált tőkepiacok által jelentett korlátokat figyelembe véve, a korábbi svéd modellhez hasonlóan a gazdaságpolitika négy alapvető célkitűzését szolgálja: a növekedést, a magas szintű foglalkoztatottságot, a társadalmi egyenlőséget és az árstabilitást. A közös célkitűzések mellett a két időszakot összeköti a gazdaságpolitikai konszenzus és a társadalmi bizalom, amely a siker alapvető feltétele volt mindkét rendszerben.
