Abstract

Este trabajo desarrolla un modelo teórico de generaciones solapadas en donde se estudian los determinantes de la duración de la etapa de formación no obligatoria. El principal resultado obtenido es el hallazgo de un período de escolarización maximizador del capital humano agregado productivo, el cual dependería de la edad de jubilación, de la expectativa de vida y, finalmente, de factores vinculados con la posibilidad de desarrollar la capacidad de aprendizaje de los individuos, como el gasto en educación.
