Valoración económica integral de los bienes y servicios ambientales ofertados por el ecosistema de manglar ubicado en la Ciénaga de la Virgen. Cartagena-Colombia

Abstract

Este proyecto corresponde a un proceso de valoración de los bienes y servicios ambientales (BSA) ofertados por el bosque de manglar de la ciénaga de la virgen, Cartagena de Indias-Colombia, ejercicio que permitió evidenciar el potencial de los recursos biológicos del ecosistema de manglar objeto de estudio. Metodológicamente el trabajo parte de la revisión de caracterizaciones elaboradas por CARDIQUE, permitiendo la identificación de los BSA ofertados por el ecosistema; luego, se definieron las variables y parámetros que determinan el valor monetario de estos; seguido se aplicaron diversos instrumentos como: cuestionarios y formatos de registro, mediante los cuales se determinó el valor monetario de los beneficios de orden económico que ofrece el manglar objeto de valoración. Los resultados obtenidos muestran que el valor de los BSA no transables determinado por costo de oportunidad es superior al valor de los BSA transables, evidenciando la preponderancia de estos para el equilibrio de la zona y la supervivencia y desarrollo de la especie humana.
