Nachhaltigkeit mit ethischen Herausforderungen

Abstract

Nachhaltigkeit ist gerichtet auf die Sicherung der Einheit von überleben, gut, sinnvoll und frei leben innerhalb intra- und intergenerativer Gerechtigkeit und erfordert eine Wirtschaftsweise, die ökonomische, ökologische und soziale Zielkriterien (beim Primat der Erfordernisse der Überlebenssicherung) ausgewogen berücksichtigt. Dies ist durch rein geldökonomische Entscheidungs- bzw. Handlungskalküle nicht möglich, denn diese verursachen ökologische und soziale Knappheiten. Nachhaltiges Wirtschaften bedarf also (auch) außerökonomischer, ethischer Verhaltensimpulse. Diese wiederum bedürfen sowohl institutioneller Arrangements als auch individueller Verhaltensnormierungen, da beide sich gegenseitig bedingen. Quellantrieb ethischen Verhaltens auf der Individualebene sind die genetischen Prägungen als Antriebs-, Sinngebungs-, Sozialisations- und Belohnungsmuster lebensdienlichen Verhaltens. Der Weg hin zu nachhaltigkeitsgerichtetem Verhalten bedarf also der (Re-)Aktivierung der genetischen Prägungen und damit verknüpft der Entfaltung einer institutionengenerierenden Interaktionsdynamik und Struktuation.
