Corona in der automobilen Lieferkette

Abstract

Die Corona-Pandemie wirkt auf verschiedenen Wegen auf die industriellen Produktionsmöglichkeiten und damit auf die gesamtwirtschaftliche Entwicklung (Grömling et al., 2020). Neben primär nationalen Einflüssen wie forcierten Betriebsschließungen, Nachfrageausfall oder neu einzuhaltenden Gesundheitsstandards spielen auch internationale Einflussfaktoren eine wichtige Rolle. Die deutsche Automobilindustrie war in besonderem Maße von der Lockdown-Phase der Corona-Krise betroffen. Hier ist die Produktion im April gegenüber dem März um fast 75 Prozent eingebrochen. Neben dem Ausfall der Nachfrage spielten für die umfassenden Werksschließungen auch Störungen in der Wertschöpfungskette eine wichtige Rolle. In den letzten Monaten ist der Anteil der üblichen Zulieferungen aus Hochrisikoländern von rund 40 auf nur noch 9 Prozent gefallen.
